Tach is wrong

    I plugged my blue ink tec eld into my data port on my 2020 KW t680 and now my tach is off by 4 to 500 rpms on the dash. The digital gauge is correct and the eld is correct. Anyone have a suggestion on how to correct this? I have switched the truck off with the Bluetooth in and with it disconnected but it's still the same

    Buy an older truck…preferably old enough to get rid of the eld. You say the tach is off but that the eld and the digital gauge are correct so how are you verifying that it’s wrong? I guess maybe I am missing something.

    Sorry I didn't make it clear. The tach guage on dash shows 1100 rpms at idle but if you use the digital option it shows 600. I have a Pete 379 and decided to go this route because of back problems. If you have ever ride in my 680 you will understand. Best riding and most comfortable truck I have ridden in.     So what happens as you bring up the rpm, do they come back together or stay roughly 500 apart?
    My guess is your going to need someone with a computer to fix or figure out the problem.

    Had to change batteries. After the change the rpm gauge is correct again

    Interesting
    Probably a poor connection issue on one of the smaller wires in the battery box if I was guessing.
