I get sick of these bassturds…..

 

That’s what I did. Biiiiiiiiiiiiig engine. Axles with the gears I wanted. The transmission was the most expensive part…cost me $10.3k back in 2014. Had a weaker 18 that grenaded the big hole under a superload cruising on flat ground after I built the engine. For a while, it felt as if it was like, “guess what the next weakest link is, Six?” Rears, transmission, every part between the turbo and intake burst. Yep, even the intercooler. And that’s driving baby smooth and progressive shifting.

Fun project, but oh boy is that an expensive education. Should have a degree somewhere…

 

Well my wife and I went through the ceiling like Sylvester the cat when a strange noise came about in our home last night. Found the noise was coming from the circulation pump on our radiant heating system.

Being old as Mathusla didn’t figure I would parts for this coupling, but low and behold I found a local shop with one on the shelf…..

 

Then you'll really be wondering how I did 3 packs a day.

 

Nope no ekg. Waiting for blood test results. The strange thing is it's not all the time I feel it.

 

I do hope that is not a heart related problem. That’s sort of what was going on with me. Most of the time, things were fine. Just didn’t feel great. Here’s the thing, X-ray, ultrasound even an EKG may not show a problem. I got lucky and the problem was quite visible on the ultrasound.

 

One week in a 12spd auto and I've sworn off manual transmissions entirely! Well not entirely, but I'm really enjoying driving this thing and I just might be a convert!

 

Lol I didn't mind the Dt 12 at all except the company had performance mode locked out

 

Lol yeah you can chow down on a burger while your peeling out of the parking lot.

 

you did buy 2 or more and hang the spares near the pump?
The apartment block I managed in the '80s used small lovejoy couplers and I always had 2 rubbers hanging on a peg 30 inches from the pump as well as one set of drives.
