Knew a guy that did that with a wind blade. Blocked a 4 lane divided highway, median and both shoulders. Biiiiiiig trouble.

Come to think of those permit loads have to follow the directions given. What a headache it must be to miss your turn.

    On an almost serious note
Ifn I had a dollar for every turn/cut off/exit I missed over the years...that required bout 265,000 oor miles to find a safe place to turn around
    I’d be lending Trump $$$$$
   ;)

Just wish the produce was fresh — good food in Portland is hard to find

Well, on the F'up scale of 1-10, 1 being minor,,10 catastrophe,,this is low, say a 2. It would have worked, and probably done this many times, just the dolly legs bottomed out, and the drive wheels spun. That's about the time you need a wingnut on the air ride rod, pump up the bags and get the flock out of there. Clearly loaded, and yes, a better spot would have been nice, but I can just imagine, THIS was the best spot for miles.

Rideandrepair, haycarter and MACK E-6 Thank this.

Except he didn’t need to turn around to get where he wanted to go. That was the point of the post. Not panicking when you mess up, being aware of where you are, and looking at options to remedy the situation instead of getting in a bind.

I’m sure we’ve all been there at some point, especially as rookies.

I saw a guy do that once. Guess he wanted to stop at that high priced store at Essex. Went by an turned on to the dirt road crossover. DOT cop happened to be coming down the hill and met him halfway across.
