I had a small dog in my left arm, my hand on her torso, her front paws on the window seal. We drove around our small town, for years, me holding her like that. One day, at ~20mph, she bolted. No rhyme or reason. It was apparent by her wavering head movements, she’d hit her head. Immediately drove to the vet and they pumped her full of anti-inflammatories, to combat brain swelling. I'm glad she made a full recovery.

My gf's little dog sits on top of my left leg when we head into town. But I keep the window rolled up.
