Prepass and scale rules when entering different states?

In a handful of states any HazMat load must enter the weigh station if it is open, regardless of what PrePass device indicates. OH, AZ, MA IIRC are such states. PrePass has the info listed by state. Don't trust some strangers on the internet to give you accurate info or keep you out of a ticket. The Laws are what you should obey, even if the consensus of online experts are different.

Yes. In some states and depending on what freight you are hauling, you ignore the green light. HazMat in Ohio, for example.

Arizona fined one of the drivers at my previous HazMat tanker company $600 for bypassing the scales when PrePass gave him a green light. OH, AR, AZ, MA IIRC are most of the states that treat placarded loads different with regards to PrePass.
