@Chinatown Yes I believe so more than likely you’ll need a refresher and go out with a trainer
-
How much experience did you have when you quit driving?
If you still have your cdl and can pass the DOT physical, plenty of companies will hire you. You'll get some refresher with an experienced driver in most cases. -

You can try this one. Small outfit, but don't know the hiring policy on a long gap in driving.

I started driving in 2007, have you been involved/staying up with trucking since then? It’s a whole different industry than you remember it.Moehaas, Keepforgettingmypassword and tscottme Thank this.

Thanks for sharing! How did you find this info? I'm still looking

I picked up a 1099 assignment for a week from Syracuse to Anaheim. It was a 10-speed Cascadia, and it was a smooth and seamless experience. Drove safely & efficiently through a nasty storm from IN to CO. Used Samsara for logs, and have been catching up reading and watching educational material for the past few months.
What do think are the major areas of change since then? -
I've known about the company for several years.Moehaas Thanks this.
