BTW, just finished watching 3 short videos about Covenant's new QC and I tell you, the day they install that in "my" truck I quit the co. for sure.:yes2557: If I haven't left co. already.

You can watch it too by going to Youtube and searching
Covenant Transport Qualcomm MCP200 Rollout (it has three phases)
(I am not supposed to place links here).

This new QC is very sophisticated. It has many more features, much more complex though.... It has the eletronic log feature and that in itself will be a real pain to work with... It will cause drivers to make all kinds of mistakes...

The time I would take to learn how to use the darn thing correctly, without screwing myself and not getting hr violations and not wasting time.... :biggrin_25513:
OMG, just give me the old simple QC and let me do my logs on paper.

    Check it out...

Rocks: I have something you might help me with. I'm going to do my 6 months teaming. Covenant finally gave me a list of names to call. (I don't know what happen there. As I posted a few back. A little mix up i guess.)

One of the numbers they gave me is a driver who drives for walmart dedicated reefer. Also said he runs estate. He is looking for a team partner to run east to west. Hes been working for covenant for some time and seems to be set in his ways.

One of the biggest thing that sticks out is he only drives in the day time stops at about 8 pm. Than you drive for 8 hours and he starts driving again.

But mainly, Is this a opportunity to get my foot in the door with walmart side of things. I would think that opportunity like this don't come often. I would hate to let in slip threw my fingers.

Would it be useful to put up with this driver. To get in the door. He has indicated he might be leaving covenant if it feels right.

just would like to know what you thank and any one else. I do have others to choose from.

Big Wheels, sent you a pm. Check it out. Go for it, if you feel like. And if it doesn't work, get another partner. There's no guarantee of nothing. I would meet with any potential partner in person at Chatt before stepping inside the truck with them and hitting the road. If he decides to leave the co. before you finish your 6 month, you may end up with "his" truck and will have to get another partner. :biggrin_25525: Good luck man.

This is my last posting.Through a fault of mine,I was not hired by the company I spoke of.They in turn have shut the door on me and abandoned me here in Northfield MN.I live in Tampa,1350 miles away and they will not even offer a ride to the bus station,Avoid TAYLOR TRUCKING LINES INC. They are cold hearted animals, not people.I am surrendering my CDL as soon as I get home,it is better than being in an industry with animals like that.
Pass the word, this is what humanity and being human has come down to.

How many miles to pay bills?? It all depends... how much are your bills and "other things"... how you (and your team partner) run and work together, your dispatcher, what division you are on, the season of the year, if your truck is working properly, etc, etc, etc....

    But Covenant doesn't pay well.

Go to Conway, or somewhere else... if you can. Good luck.:biggrin_25519:
