Nothing wrong with using a factoring company. There’s always those that point out the money that you are “giving” away. Somehow they forget to point out the brokers that you will have to chase around for your money. I don’t have the time to chase slow payments. If 3% or less has my money in the bank within 12 hours. I count that 3% as a loss at the end of the year because you ain’t gonna keep it all anyway. THEirs is going to get some to. So, before bashing factoring look at it from a time perspective to. Who really wants to wait 30-45 or sometimes 90 days for an invoice to be paid? And the free credit checks can save you a lot of headaches…..

My favorite is the heavy and hard to understand Indian accent. You have truck I have the loads. Where do want to go my friend? I like to mess with them and ask questions like What’s your MC# or where are the loads that you have? That usually ends the conversation

Are there really that many brokerages that don’t offer quick pay on their own? At least then you wouldn’t be tied into a contract with a factoring company.

I added a factoring company when I added owner ops and it’s only 2%. Orange Commercial Credit 90 day contracts. I pick and choose what companies to factor. For example, I don’t factor Sureway or JB Hunt because I get paid in a couple days for free. If the broker quickpay is less than 2%, I use the broker’s. I would never go with a factoring company that required all bills to be factored. I also send out my own billing (thankfully just an email these days).Long FLD Thanks this.

If you factor for a year of 300k invoices at 3%, that’s 9k a year! What if you factored for 20 years!?!

Yes a lot do. But they are paying you through triumph factor company from what I see when they do. The factor company that I use dose not require all invoices to be ran through them. But, once you run an invoice through them -“” of those customers invoices will be factored through the company.
