Are load board prices after or before broker fees?

There's a few real produce brokers who give you the rate charged minus 8-10%

 

Yeah I think we need some clarification here. 'Broker fees' could mean a ton of different things.

 

yes needs clarification - so let have a for instance: I'm looking at the truck smarter load board for a load listed by XPO and it is listed for $607 - so you are telling me that 1. I can barter the price for that load 2. if I take the load for said $607 I will not get paid $607

If you book a load for 607 dollars and that is what is on the rate con, then that is how much you put on the invoice... If broker offers quick pay services for say 5% then they take 5% off from the invoiced amount and send you a check for the rest.. Hopefully you dont book a load for 607 dollars.

 

it was just a hypothetical ... I appreciate the response ... sounds like some want to be helpful and some would rather help the new guys fail

 

Some of this a new guy should know before he takes the leap to become a new guy.

 

I want see all "new guys" fail and quickly fail that are wholly unprepared to operate a small business.
