    Hi y'all. Can anyone recommend an export radio that is the same chassis size as a Cobra 29? The mounting hole in our new trucks won't accommodate my old Galaxy 66 or any of the other radios I have that are that same size.

    I've read that a Magnum 257 is similar to the size of a cobra 29. So it maybe an option.

    Consider mounting in other location....Not suggesting to drill holes or anything but the dbl sided 3m sticky tape works well for my 955..

    Ordinarily I would consider something like that but because I go bumping up and down oilfield roads I want to make sure my radio is as secure as possible.

    Consider the RCI 39VHP 75 watts, good receive and audio with the smaller radio footprint. I have had mine nearly 2 years.

    Why put a nice expensive radio in a truck thats gonna be bounceing up n down the roads..Work on antenna set up to help you gain a lil more and if ya wanna get echo installed on the 29...
    I wouldnt put anything nice in a truck that does what you do...
