Getting out of my normal loop. I have an 11am in Houston on Monday and an 8am in San Antonio on Tuesday. Where’s a decent place to land along I-10? Also I don’t mind paying for parking if that helps any answers. Thanks!
San Antonio ??

Texas best Luling east of San Antonio. Always room and nice and clean.austinmike, Suspect Zero and Long FLD Thank this. -
The Petro just East of San Antonio isn't bad. Plenty of parking if you get there early and there's a good Mexican restaurant next door.
Flat Earth Trucker, RockinChair, austinmike and 1 other person Thank this. -
I would pick the T/A over the petro there. The J burned down but I think you can still park there.
austinmike and Long FLD Thank this. -
Thanks. I’ve never been down in that area much so I figured I’d go see what it’s all about.
austinmike and Jubal Early Times Thank this. -
You’re set for a big disappointment. But if you find one, most taco trucks are pretty good.austinmike and Long FLD Thank this.

Depending on the way you log and how you may or not be able to work your hours Flatonia exit 661 is about 90 minutes east of San Antonio there’s a Shell truckstop on the southbound side of the highway on the northbound side of the highway is good Mexican and a good barbecue
austinmike, Jubal Early Times and Long FLD Thank this. -
The traffic with the perpetual construction zone between Houston and San Antonio can be midevil.
You definitely want to pick San Antonio.
No good choice since they burnt down the J.
TA and Petro are both holes.
Petro does have a Mexican joint that's not bad across the street, and a decent shop.
The TA is the TA of DOOM.austinmike, PacoTaco, Long FLD and 1 other person Thank this. -
Some of the best tacos ever are sold by a lady with a taco truck parked at the fireworks store by the pilot south of von ormy on I-35. Plenty of room to park also.PacoTaco and Jubal Early Times Thank this.

Texas Forever in Channelview. At one time, one of the raunchiest places to park, but cleaned up and security all night. Actually a really nice place now. You’re starting in Houston, NOT San Antonio, correct?
