Maxxforce 13 losing power intermittent

How do I get Heavyd’s contact number? I trust this guy opinions.

 

Hi Heavyd. I’ve been reading your comments for years. You are basically the only one I see that always have a credible ideas of what’s is going on. Where is your shop? I have an maxxforce 13 that became very week 500 miles after oil change. I used a premium synthetic 15w 40. It is getting 4.7 mpg hauling heavy. Now I’m at a loves waiting for a mechanic in the morning. Please help me out!

All I can do is give advice. To diagnose low power, the laptop is the first tool I grab. I would check for codes, take it for a road test and record a 0-60 lugdown snapshot and see what the engine is developing for boost, fuel and exhaust back pressures and go from there.

 

Hi, have you ever found the cure for this disease? I have the exact same problem. Same thing with the key haha. Please someone help me! It also happened after deleting it.

 

I'm thinking you have an issue with the turbo actuator actuation and it not being able to keep it steady. Goes into Limp Bizkit. Sounds like something derating it.
Cycling the key puts active codes and derate to inactive status until the fault happens again.
