Me and a cousin of mine just recently got our cdl and bought a truck. We are currently getting loads from a dispatcher, and i feel like these loads are cheap. My question is how can i find a better way to find loads?

Why do you feel that? Make some examples
Turtlelegs Thanks this. -
We’re on the east coast and recently got a load for 2300 carrying 44,000 pounds. From NJ to FL

Mileage pay or percentage?

What’s the rate per mile and time on the trailer?
If it’s on the trailer 2 days or less $2,300 isn’t bad. Hopefully you got something booked out of there. You can find some decent loads but they disappear really fast. Having a 9-5 dispatcher probably isn’t the best way to go.
I book most of my loads at night when everyone is sleeping

Do you have a company and its own authority or is this a lease to a carrier?

"Decent load"
Definition.
If it's a decent load, it's on my truck.
If it is not a decent load, it's on your truck. -

Be more specific. What is the actual distance in miles, then figure the actual cost of your operation per mile, do the math and you should be able to figure out what a "decent" load would look like....
