They need to put a big disclaimer at the front of all the cdl manuals published by the state DMVs:
Caution: This industry has nearly turned into a job right out of Orwell's 1984. Please excuse the delay as we work to apply the finishing touches.

Nope, I can listen to anything I want… But God forbid I want to change the channel. It must be set prior to driving or on an off ramp with the parking break set.
**For info I drive a M2 with an automatic.**
    I also can’t
    - touch the cruise control since it’s on the dash. I get hit daily.
    - shift gears. You must live with the preprogrammed shift points. Also fail daily
    - I’m not a super trucker so I don’t drive with my Bluetooth in my ear constantly. Therefore I can’t answer phone calls (this isn’t a negative)
    - and No food or Drink.

Every incident is an email to me and my manager and once a week we have to talk about every single incident.

My company also wonders why they can’t get another driver to work in my area.

I’m a money lot lizard so I’m holding out until I get my safety bonus in April. Then if I don’t get a $5 an hour raise I’m departing for unwatched pastures.

That's cute you think people would read something before acting irresponsibly. The irresponsible wouldn't run out of a burning building unless some con-man was telling them about how doing so would make them a million bucks once they get to the parking lot. Stupid people want what they want and will interpret every warning, no matter how it is presented, as "You cannot have this very good thing."

My company allows listening to podcast, radio, eating, and drinking. But whatever you do, you can’t touch your phone while driving. Big no no. Oh and no smoking or vaping either.

So you need to pull over if your gps or podcast happens to turn off, can't make an adjustment?
