So far so good. We have a guy with his class B license in our class too. Driving the tractor trailer is way different he says ( as he's grinding every gear lol. ) I haven't taken my final state test yet but will be in a few days. After the yard and being in the truck and driving i am getting pretty comfortable. I guess my only advice (as much as mine counts) would be to take your time. It ain't a race. study hard and apply it as best as you can. Shifting is different at first, but as you keep doing it you get a rhythm down. After you get the shifting down the rest is gravy.

Finally .. Passed the state test and now have a cdl A license. Didnt have the dough to get haz mat endorsment but i can get that later I suppose. Werner and swift have "pre hired" me but am waiting out my options to see who else I can get on the hook. test was straightforward , nothing different from what trainers allready taught us. The school I went to used a third party tester. Kinda why I chose to go there. Don't know if it makes a difference. I am sure once I get rollin it will be who you know that matters like in construction to get a descent job. well just playing the waiting game now lol. I will fill out more apps 2morrow. then start comparing. later
