3 different alignments done on the truck already . One by a reputable frame shop 400$ . 1 by spring and alignment shop another 420$ and one witg hunter alignment machine in pa another 500$ . All spent out of my pocket.at this point i am out almost $3k out of my own pocket chasing this issue not counting downtime and uber rides .

I hear ya. I do believe peterbilt dealerships are nothing but crooks. They are not even shy about how they hose owners on misdiagnosis. Had a service adviser charge me 1.5 hours to replace a trailer pigtail receptacle. When I asked why the steep price I was told, “ tech had to go back to parts due to grabbing wrong part.” What! I pay for their mistakes. After getting another dealer involved, they took care of repair under warranty as they were suppose too.Last edited: Mar 2, 2023

What are the three opinions you got from the 3 different shops? Seems like between them they should have been able to give a general direction to go, even if they decided the frame was tweaked or the rails weren’t drilled correctly on one side. On my last 579 I had some chatter in the wheel coming on to and off of rough bridges. It was mild compared to the videos you’ve posted of yours. But Chad put a different wedge in my steer axle which rolled it back a little and it took all of it away. He’s the only guy I trust for alignments, that’s why I suggested him. I’ve never used an alignment machine on any of my trucks and have bobtailed for KC multiple times when I start having issues.Rideandrepair, wore out, Siinman and 8 others Thank this.

T&T does the same method as Chad in KC. They'll find exactly what the problem is and it won't be a situation where you're down some rabbit hole throwing money at random parts. You couldn't go wrong going to Chad in KC either. I know guys who have been there too.
There's a lot of suspension shops out there but not all of them are equal. Most of them suck. T/A and Petro allegedly do alignments but you couldn't pay me to take any truck I'm driving to one of those clown shows to have it done.
Specialty suspension shops like T&T and Chad in KC are where the big dealerships all farm out their alignment work because most of them don't even know wtf they are looking for or doing.Rideandrepair, TheLoadOut, krupa530 and 11 others Thank this. -
I've heard Chad mentioned many times on here
Rideandrepair, Siinman, kay_ray and 2 others Thank this. -
You're preaching to the choir. The point where you do that is: when it costs more than the repair in lost business to keep doing what you're doing.
Like I said, it sucks and it ain't right. At some point you gotta decide wether you want a solution, or keep trying to teach Peterbilt a lesson. Recent posts suggesting you start with an out of pocket, credible 3rd party diagnosis and go from there is exactly what I'd be doing next.Rideandrepair, Siinman, kay_ray and 8 others Thank this. -
At some point you have to get back to work. Pay to have it fixed, keep the receipts and take Peterbilt and the dealership to court.
Rideandrepair, Siinman, kay_ray and 6 others Thank this. -
I should ve done it a while ago but case is already filed and jury trial will start soon. Cant get it fixed anywhere now till the truck is inspected with fault by an independent mechanic for the court record.Rideandrepair, TallJoe, IH9300SBA and 3 others Thank this.

Did that already under wisconsin lemon law . Lemon law cases are pro bono mandatory by state . If i went The civil lawsuit way the lawyer will cost me more than the repair bill itself .Rideandrepair, IH9300SBA, dwells40 and 2 others Thank this.

He is the best in business I would use him above all other shops. Also if you plan on law suit he would be very helpful for documenting the issues.Rideandrepair, IH9300SBA, dwells40 and 1 other person Thank this.
