I know some are getting it worse. I took a 15 hour break in Indy, IN. Looking at the weather radar I would say the worst part is now by here.
How did you all avoid it?

Just hit Us in Detroit. Started at 5:00pm I just shoveled at least 4-5” of wet heavy snow, supposed to snow till 1:00am. It’s gusting 35-40, along with some rare snow lightning. Supposed to be 40 tomorrow. Worst storm of the season. It’s really coming down fast. 2” per hr. Roads are super slick.

Got us good on the other side of the river, I'm about 70 miles east of Detroit. Still coming down wet and heavy probably 3 or 4" so far, grass totally covered again. Some thunder mixed in maybe an hour ago that was kinda cool. Reports of lightning as well but I didn't see it. I'm at home and nowhere to go. Plenty of reports the roads are not in good condition except the 401 is okay...for now.. This is still better than the previous 2 storms that came thru past week or 10 days maybe, as lots of freezing rain, downed branches everywhere and lost hydro on both occasions, but only a few hours. Gotta love winter!

The storm was not even going for an hour when we lost power. Crazy lightning too!
Got the fire going and kids are going to sleep on the floor in our room lol

It’s been a heck of a day. Wipers have been on high, nearly all day, from southern IL to west-central OH. Wind is still gusting strong. Glad to be parked, for the night.

Just got power back Wednesday night after running the generator 7 days straight after the ice storm.
Couple good lighting strikes surely spooked us. Bright blue flash with the snow I thought it was a transformer until the thunder crack.
The venture to work in the morning should be fun.Keepforgettingmypassword, The Railsplitter, ducnut and 1 other person Thank this. -

Plan on doing shoes and drums on my trailer tomorrow. Not looking forward to it. Supposed to do them today, before the snow, bought everything, got side tracked. .
