I assume they are but not 100% sure. This was at the rest area on US-6 east of Springville, UT. As soon as I rolled the window down, they came running over so obviously they're used to handouts. They like muesli by the way.

They definitely look like wild turkeys. We have a flock over by my terminal that wanders around the parking lot all year round

    Absolutely yes...
Wild actually has flavor and texture.
    Store bought doesn't.
Once you've gone to the wild side, there's no turning back.

Smoked wild turkey is great. Otherwise, it's a little dry and stringy but that might be because of the cook.

Bro, when you have more beers in you than Costco had on the shelf while smoking it, pretty sure it'll be dry as popcorn farts.
    Wrap them in bacon.
It adds fat to moisten the meat and adds flavor to further enhance the gastric experience...
    My favorite way...
Butterfly the breasts, pound them flat
Basket weave bacon strips laid out on cutting board, place pounded breast on top
Add layer of provolone cheese slices on top
Roll it up and tie it like a roast
Smoke it to 145 internal temp
Put in over at 350 for about 15 minutes to bring temp up to 155 and crisp up bacon
Slice thin medallions, serve with mashed taters and brown gravy, and steamed broccoli...
Your tongue will beat your brains out to get to the second bite

    Look like turkey's to me.

    Because we're talking turkey...

Turkey below is what you find here on the sandbar over on the Alligator River Wildlife Refuge. We also have bears, alligators, weird looking birds, snakes, and tons of turtles. Oh, we also have Red Wolves. Which are protected. Shoot one and your grandkids will be paying off the fines.

Sirscrapntruckalot - Yes, it's a turkey dressed as a taco.

It's amazing the territory wild turkeys are moving into these days .
Yesterday I had a drop a mile north of downtown omaha at a warehouse that has been there 125 years with a prison next to it and the airport .
I dam near had to boot turkeys out of my way to get in the warehouse.
