Depends on the economy; hiring areas change, depending on what type freight you haul.
I stayed with reefers because no matter how bad the economy gets, reefer drivers keep on trucking. Reefer drivers haul food & medicine.

 

If Maverick continues to give you the run-around (and won't update their website and map ), here's another flatbed fleet that's worth a look....they hire & train new CDL grads....and have a "Texas Regional" fleet --or you could go full OTR:
