I had the same problem, marker lights remain on even when shut off the engine.
Changed the headlight switch. It worked.

Have a new Int'l RH with less than 60,000 miles, continued problem with load shedding after 2 hrs, replace batteries twice, now the dealer dropped the load shedding threshold to 11.6 volt. and now the lights won't turn off. We plugged the controller module, and running lights still stay on. They say is's a defective controller #4080941L1 and not a unit in stock at any dealer in North America. Suppose to get one from the whse in 2 days. Very disappointing, with downtime and all

New Volvo 860, just 20000 miles. Headlights turning ON, when I turn wipers ON. No any error codes. Headlights can’t turn OFF with panel light switch. I Need shut Down the engine to turn headlights OFF.

I could see the head light coming on with the wipers (always thought they should make that standard on all vehicles)... But not turning off is Definetally a problem.

Yeah buddy! Those trainers know it all. Ever wonder why they weren’t driving?
