What was the offense?
Typically misdemeanor is no big.
If it's a dui, drugs, or something pertaining to drugs, or assault that may be a bit different.Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this. -
I was accused of domestic violence and unfortunately the state of Maine always supports the supposed victim so I took a plea deal so I wouldn't have to deal with the court system anymore. So basically 2 years probation but can be reduced to 1 year after completing a online class. No prior criminal historyFlat Earth Trucker, bryan21384 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

My best advice is run it up a flagpole and see who shoots at it.
Almost all applications are on line now, and if it automatically disqualifies you, just move to the next company.
Start at the top and work your way down. Don't just go by what other people say or hearsay, especially here.
The place people tell you you'll never get in there, the guy may say welcome aboard.

You definitely can get a job. There's drivers out here with felonies that can find work. When are you moving to Fort Worth? You're clearly experienced so it won't be difficult. The only thing that may hamper you is living in Maine. Once you get to Texas, it's going to be leaps and bounds easier to get a job.
