    dont do it.
i talked to a good friend in a good place before leaving; he told me allot of those guys are "in the hole" to maverick. as if it's not hard enough being in debt and trying to pay something like that off, some of them actually are digging a hole to the company.
(he also told me someone who works like i do would make money; i ran my balls off....not worth it).

They got recruiters on to hear something other than what they heard from you.If I was guessing they are probably looking for fleece purchase victums.

Well good luck at Maverick. Better get prepared for a company that is anal about everything. Oh, don't worry you will get lots of practice tarping as nearly 98% of their loads will have to be tarped. Also, once you get your training and get out on the road on your own my advice would be to stay away from Little Rock like the plague. They have people in the office that have nothing better to do than come out into the parking lot and look at everybody's load to make sure they are doing it the "Maverick Way."

Yeah; they are funny about not wanting freight to fall off and kill innocent kids passing by in 4 wheelers.

Uhhhhhh yeah. Correct me if i'm wrong, but you are pulling a flatbed hauling freight that is exposed to the elements....correct?

Maverick, TMC, Melton, I like them all, everytime I get a load out of Logan Aluminum, Russelville Ky. I get detention time because them, I have never seen such slow tarp jobs in my life, some those guys look at the coils like they are from outerspace, most of them dont even know they have to spot the coils on the trailer. just standing there looking around, maybe thats why Maverick does what they do. I'm just saying.:biggrin_25513:

The priorities at Maverick are as follows:
Safety for the people that we share the road with
    Safety for the driver
Safety for the freight we haul.
I am so glad that Maverick is anal as you put it about doing things their way. They have minimum requirements on securements. I am presently out with my trainer. I guarantee you when I have my own truck, I am going to go beyond what their minimum is. A couple more minutes to put an extra chain or strap on is better than all the bad things that can happen in an accident.
Flatbedding is not for lazy people!

I think Maverick is the best place to learn flatbed because they have a standard that is required in securement and tarping.
If you drop and hook you shouldn't have to anything more than a pretrip.
I worked for a flatbed company one time without standards and everytime I hooked a load I had redo the securement and tarp it was a lot of work.:biggrin_25513:

Safety is no doubt paramount in the flatbedding industry, but there is a time when you must become productive and effecient in your work, you all have good day.:biggrin_2559:
