Sitting here at the Love's in Floyd, IA and I hear a loud crunch.
I looked out the window and saw that the truck next to be had just been hit. The whole right front is very smashed in.
The guy that hit the truck said he thought he set the parking brake and then went in back to put on his coat.
The truck rolled forward into the other truck.

Glad it wasn't me getting hit this time.

A live load at 1900 with a delivery at 0800 the next morning with a live unload?
Too many people fell asleep on that one.
    Drunk, high... whatever.

That can not be done in a 14 hour shift or with a sleeper break in between.

    dptrucker Thanks this.

I had my home time set for Friday and was sent a load delivering near there Thursday morning.
That worked to my advantage as there is some weather with snow and high winds coming in Thursday afternoon through Friday, so I'll be taking home time a day early.

It's nice when things work out that way.

I got home before all the wind and snow kicked in. We are supposed to get up to 5 inches between now and morning.

I keep hearing loads are scarce, but I keep getting them.

Today the planner sent a pplan with a message about no freight and this was the first load available.
I delivered at around 1630 today and that load picks up by 1000 tomorrow. Nothing wrong with that.
Plus I don't have an mt yet so I'll have to find one.

Loads might be scarce, but I have kept running this week.

    dptrucker and dwells40 Thank this.

Is it just me, or has anyone else got the "sky is falling vibe" the last week or two on here? All the companies failing, "mc for sale," and guys trying to unload trucks seams to be gaining steam.

January to March is always the slowest time for trucking, every year.
People tend to panic for no good reason.
