I drive a 2019 Peterbilt flat top I have a 102 inch whip I have a mounted behind the cab on the bar that is below the window in the center behind the cab. I have a fuel line on the 102 whip up to the top of the cab roofline my swr is 1 on 1 and 1 on 40 …
I know that my swrs are good, but could it be reflecting, too much power but to the antenna? Thus actually having a bad swr, like tricking the radio. I get good reports from it. Thank you

Man my COVID brain really messes with me sometimes. I'm having a hard time understanding the part about having a fuel line hooked up to your 102" antenna. Can you post a picture of your antenna setup? They recommend mounting an antenna so that at least 2/3 of the antenna is above a metal structure, such as the roof of your trucks cab. At least hopefully the trucks cab is some form of metal. So where you have it mounted, the antenna should be plenty high, and I doubt it would cause any reflection problems. You say you are getting good reports and if your happy with the distance, then I wouldn't be too concerned about it. On today's trucks, a guy just had to do what ever it takes to make it work. Even if it means connecting a fuel line to the antenna .... Ha, just kidding.

I think he means Feed Line, my ipad corrects it all the time to Fuel Line.

It probably is fuel line to insulate the antenna when it hits the back of the cab.

Later on while thinking about that, it dawned on me about the auto correct feature. So I assumed he typed fishing and it changed it to fuel? It would have to be an awful strong fishing line to keep that tall whip straight and not break. Since the op hasn't replied back, he's probably having a good laugh at us trying to figure it out. Ha.

I think you're correct. That would make the most sense, since that antenna would be awful close to the back of the cab.

The cab is fiber glass if that help and I meant fuel line slide down the antenna to reduce feed back to the antenna
