Waiting on New Trucks thread.

I wonder why just the 389X? They must have an excess of components they need to move.

 

On another note, trailers must be slowing down a little. My brother talked to Wilson last week about a new cattle trailer and today they told him it would be delivered in July. 51ft tandem, 9-9-5 lights on the side, 15 up the back post, 17 across the header on the back all for the low price of $123,600.

 

What did they cost before this crazy price hike? Maybe in the 60 or 70's a guess?

 

I’d say because they have more margin in them so they are trying to lure in the suckers with low interest rate.

I’d say the X model is $20K to $30K more than a regular 389 and there’s very little difference between the two. Besides having an X and a limited number of them manufactured there’s not a $20K difference. Peterbilt is just trying to upsell you on something you don’t need.

 

I want to say the trailer he got a little over a year ago was around $85k or so.

 

When I ordered my 389 last year, sales guy was offering 389X for 40000$ Canadian dollar more , so about 30000 usd, I personally didn’t find anything on model X , to be worth it.

 

I was told a couple years ago it was 50 a piece for extra light's. Any idea if that's still true

 

The guy who parks next to me bought a new utility ref trailer and was told light package 9 on each side was 4K extra.

 

Heard a little rumor at my carrier that MHC pissed off my boss and a whole bunch of truck orders got shifted from KW to freightliner .
