They quoted me 10k higher on same speced trailer as Trudel. How is that possible?!? That just sealed it for me, not considering them ever again.

Maybe because FET wasn't included or trying to suck someone inSiinman Thanks this.
-
That first one has been listed, awhile. Unless there are two of the same color that should’ve had their bumpers painted to match the skirts?Siinman Thanks this.
-
Ah, I didn't even think about that, so including 12% for FET it would be around ~$194,000. So I bet you are right. I take back my thought it was a good deal if that's the case.
-
They actually had another one just like this one for sale but it must have sold. I think it was a gold color with maroon bumper. It is definitely different the way they have painted them.
-
They can say they sold it for 172 without
Trudell usually will have a decent price. They were bought out last year by Cox Automotive. Doesn't seem to have changed anything, at least in Green Bay or MilwaukeeSiinman Thanks this. -
Didn’t know that. Can’t really tell much of a difference. Same folks, and I like em.
Siinman Thanks this. -
There is a poo poo ton of ordered trucks by "O/O's" and companies in the pipeline that believed the interstates would be paved in gold for years to come...
Their failures are a boon to those of us who actually treat trucking as a business....
Elroythekid, dwells40, Feedman and 2 others Thank this. -
When I was looking for a trailer Jim Hawk was the only dealer around that had inventory on the ground. When I was calling the GD dealers I told them the price Jim Hawk asking price and they said it was about $10K above also.
I know I overpaid for the trailer I bought from them but they also overpaid for my trade-in so net net I got a brand new trailer with more features (at least that's what I tell myself).Feedman, Siinman, ducnut and 1 other person Thank this. -
Besides having skin the game, I'm very intrigued how all of this will play out. These truck and trailer manufactures have yet to feel any impact and it's coming as inventory is going to continue to build. There's only a small pool of people/companies that can afford a +$200,000 truck and god forbid you have to finance that thing.
I'm just wondering if they will see the lows they saw around Covid. It was literally a fire sale / name your price market. I know the manufacturers have been disciplined in their production numbers but it doesn't mean anything if you have no buyers.
And you know the pendulum has swung when a Rush Salesman is broadcasting build slots available.
