Hello folks. Just stumbled upon your forum and after reading through some posts, decided that this is a good family to adopt.A little bit about me...I've been in this industry for just over five years having spent half that time in the truck and half as a dispatcher.
As I read through the posts, I was impressed by the quality of people represented here. Like any other family, it takes all kinds, and fortunately, the majority of what I read was sincere and helpful to members posting real concerns. So I signed up.
I'm a Cannuk who drove OTR in western US and Canada and subsequently in various types of trucks in the Alberta oil patch and as a bulk hauler in Southern BC, Washington and Idaho.
As indicated in my user name, I have strong convictions that I refuse to compromise. I was encouraged by the similar convictions expressed by many in the discussions. I spent ten years as a firefighter/medical first responder which deeply embedded my convictions when it comes to staying safe and legal.
Thought I'd say hello and "Happy Trails To You".

Welcome from another new comer. Man, I tell ya THIS is a cool website, with great folks willing to share their knowledge and such.
I live in Alaska now and love it (work in the petroleum industry on the North Slope) but moved up from Mt. Vernon, WA....I went to BC tons (miss the place)! You're probably pretty intimate with I-5, then huh?
