I showed up for my 10 pm delivery only to be told that everyone left at 7pm!

Guard checked me in anyway and let me park onsite. Really turned out to be a blessing..free parking for the night and $40 per hour to sleep! They pay up to 5 hours max..$200.

Heading to the TA after I get unloaded this morning unless something changes

 

Yeah well… isn’t there a parable about being satisfied with what you agreed to work for. Even when others negotiated a better deal? My conscience tells me not to kick dogs and widow women, but it has never told me not to make as much money as possible.

 

Never ever go to that TA.

 

A couple weeks ago I got home on a Friday morning about 8 am. Around noon a broker called me with a spotter tractor at the local wal mart DC. Needed it loaded that day and delivered 280 miles up the road by Saturday morning. He wanted my rate. I told him $3800. Was I greedy? Or did I just know my value and understand he’s negotiating from a position of weakness. Should I have valued other people and a large corporation over time with my family?
