As I am going through my project truck I found that I needed to replace the turbo on my 8PN 3406C. I hung an aftermarket E model 177148 on there and my oil feed hard line is too long. I having a lot of trouble finding a solution as the "hybrid" lines that Cat offers is for their industrial C's. The fittings are ORFS and my truck has JIC. Also 90's vs straight fittings. The E-model oil feed connects to the block and the line is much shorter. Mine connects to the oil filter base and needs to be longer. I am looking for the most cost effective way of doing this because so far any possible solution is far more costly than I want to pursue. I'm already 4k over budget. Has anybody encountered this before or have any ideas?

The problem is the end that bolts to the turbo. It's a funky one off triangular block thing

I have always used the supply line off a 5EK E model. Somewhere I have a part number may take a day or 2 to find we’re out trucking at the moment

You can put a pipe plug in oil filter base and come out of the main galley of the block like the E

Well, I got it figured out. After some looking around I found an adapter that goes from JIC to ORFS to fit the industrial C oil feed line. The oil line is a hybrid. The angle is slightly different than the one that came off but the flow should be the same. I have everything back together, and all I have left under the hood is the oil change, replace 2 coolant hoses and fill the cooling system. I will be turning the key today then on to the rear of the truck.
