I agree completely. Just imagine triples running on 80/94 with no one in the cab. Probably D/H at the toll booth and local guys pick them up.

I remember the days at Roadway (roughly 1992/3) when Teamster linehaul didn't do **** besides drive a prehooked set to a M/T, go to the hotel, turn around and do it again. And when I say they didn't do *****, they literally got into a prehooked set, and pushed the 'go' button.......that's it. Everything else was someone else's job. That's just how they rolled in the day.
It could go back to that, especially on longer runs.

 

As this was previously welded by another individual I'm uncertain of thier squareness... However, when I weld them, I square and clamp the pipe to a good flat surface with small spacers between it and the surface, then I clamp the flange directly to the surface.
