    :dontknow:

All jokes aside. I'm new to this forum.
I read through several threads before deciding to create an account.

Long story short, I'm a new driver with about 9 months of road experience driving a flatbed.
My first wreck, which I dreaded, has unfortunately occurred.

Back in January, I was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign, which resulted in a non-fatal collision with another truck driver and my termination.

So I've finally decided to start looking for jobs, and as you can imagine, it hasn't been a pleasant experience.

TransAm is the only company that has taken me into consideration.

The goal of this post is to gather information and advice on how I should proceed moving forward on my search for a second opportunity.

So, if any of you know of any companies that would be willing to work with someone with my background, please let me know.

I am currently residing in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

I don't care whether it's regional, otr, or local.

    Thanks.

Unless Western Express was your previous employer--you might give them a try.

They are well known for being a "second chance" carrier:

    Western Express (drivewithwestern.com)

    Past them, I would offer:

    • Domino's
    • Papa John's
    • Little Ceasar's
Eyes on the road--NOT on the pizzas.....:p

Who all have you applied to so far? It's going to be difficult for you to find some work because you have an accident, and a moving violation on your license. That's a double whammy. Maybe @Chinatown has some suggestions for you. You may have to roll with a 1099 company to get some experience and to clean your record up.

If TransAm will hire you, then go for it.

Go with Trans Am.. I never see them on the lanes I run so that would be great.

Glad to hear that you didn’t kill the other driver.

    Best of luck

I'll go off topic to defend what so many people complain about here.

    The Nanny.

The nanny company that watches your every move.
The trucks have cameras and sensors to detect things like hard braking or cornering, following too closely, and rolling through stop signs.
It flags an event that you are called out about, and it hits your safety score big time.

In the end, it creates a safer driver.
