Covenant Info

I posted the new pay sheet back a few post ago. I'll check to see if it stiil there.

But for me I just got out of training.That paid 13 cpm. We ran 5000 to 6000 mile a week. As a team with the trainer. Which was some where of 500 to 800 a week. But we ran hard. Didn't stop much. Only for fuel and food ect.

We are paying bills and have food. Not much else. But I was unemployed for a long time. So I've been playing catch up with my bills.

With the in outs of life. We are still here and haven't gave up. Its bad for alot of people. Good luck to you all.

Well I don't know what's going on with covenant. Yep I hear ya.

I took my up grade back on 02/02/2010. the driving road test and the backing.Then all the class stuff like log class, smith system. Them pro treads. Done,out of the way, passed.

But when it was time to go to the team meeting. I was told to go home they didn't have much to choose from Florida. And would take a week to get something going. So I went home.

Now I was to call covenant at the end of the week at home. Which I did, By e-mail. After trying to get her on the phone to let then know I ready for a list of names. The list they were to give me to call other drivers to team up for the 6 months teaming. I waited and waited.

Nothing! I had my dispatcher form my training call me and ask when I was coming back to work. I told him I was waiting on covenant to send me a list of names and # to call for a team partner.

He said hang on. I was now talking to her(the list lady) and she seem to be in a hurry. So I tried to tell her what I thought was going on. And I got the classic hello hello !!! hello hello. click. I wasn't talking to her on a cell phone. So I called back and got her voice mail. With no call back.

So called back two days later. And now I'm in trouble. I been home all most 30 days. If a waited one more week to come back to work, I would be fired.This is want she said when we talked. So I told her what was going on and why.I told her about my lady having chest pains going to doctors to find out whats going on.

She wanted a date I was coming back. I said the 26 and she said no too long so I said 22nd.. She said keep in touch by checking in every day.

So I did. When I called one day I got jenifer on the phone. She told me I was now on the list. I said what list. The list for other driver to call you. I'm like ok. She said you have to keep checking in every day until you find a partner.

So the next time I call she (jen) gave me some phone # to call. So I did. And had a few i was wanting to team with so I called and she (jen) told be. They have already call in with partners. Called the next day. One name.Seened like a nice enough guy. I call and I said let team up. I need to make some money.

I called covemant told then about my partner. Now they got to get this guy to chatt.,TN. I was told they don't brang drivers in on the weekend. To call back on monday. To day is the 26. Which was going to be too long at home from the being of this mix up.

Is now turn into the 03/01/2001. Which would be almost 30 days at home. But now that I'm talking to jen. I believe I'll be back work tuesday or wensday. This killing me. But like rocks said dont wait on covenant to call.

Rocks is right there. (thanks). So now I've been on the phone every day twice aday. trying to get back to work. I've have been spinning my wheels here. Yeah me!!! So thats what going on here "AS MY WHEELS SPINS".

 

Big Wheels, all this waiting at home for Cov. to call, list of names... blah, blah, blah.... IMHO is a waste of time. I hope Cov. will not use this as an excuse to terminate you....

I don't believe what they say, I don't care what they say (that's me). I would have gone to Chatt a long time ago and would have stayed at their lodging, going to team meetings everyday (even if they said there's nobody from Florida and that I couldn't team with someone from another state) . For I KNOW that's all bull....

Like I said, I had partners from all over the USA.

Don't count on any driver if they are not there, at Chatt and you can't talk to them face to face.

The team lady (s) have a million things going on, don't expect them to do much for you.

I hear you! When it comes to covenant you know best. But as it comes to me. I'm not able to get myself to chatt,TN. Every dollar has gone into the house hold. Things got a little crazy for me when I got home.

So some of the problem was me. With my son sick and my lady having chest pains. The first week was gone. Mostly at the E.R. Money being spent as fast as I can put it in the bank.

I know what your saying. I was doing what I was told. But some where the confusion set in. I have no Idea what is to happen are when. I would not every know, that some thing didn't happen. But I can tell you what has happen.

As for the teaming ladies. As For not helping me. I knew that was going to happen. But I can't call any drivers with out the list. I cant get to chatt,TN with their bus ticket. I can not be assigned to a team partner with out there blessing. I can not be sign to a truck with out their OK. I can do only what they instruct me to do.

What to do? what to do? I could go up there and demand to be put on a truck. NO. NO! I could call and let them have a piece of my mind.No. No! I have to do what they have instructed me to do for now. That is call on Monday.

If they fire me.(which I hope they don't). I'll just come back hear and fuss and kick up some dust some more. I do thank. I'm going to be on that bus soon.

From where the team partner comes from. I have no control over that. There is some kind of rule that team partner must live with in a 100 mile radius. That is what i'm being told. I have all ready hear story of partners not being team up after upgrading. Because of this rule.

Now maybe after a while or after the 6 months. Teaming can be any where.i guess. It has some thang to do with home time.

Thanks for keeping me on my toes. I will keep calling. Im not giving up. We are talking about covenant. Thanks rocks

 

Big Wheels, I hear your struggles man.... and the problems with your folks.... I am sorry... The beginning is hard. I really really wish you good luck. Hope they will get you to Chatt this week and you will find a partner right away and hit the road as soon as possible.

I was lucky to be able to drive my own vehicle from home to Chatt and back any time I wanted. It was only 2 hrs trip and I didn't depend on them to reimburse for that.

Hang in there man. Let us know how it goes.

 

Well Here I sit. Another day Spinning my wheels. I called and talked to covenant to day. Now I didn't Get to to talk to Jen. She was off. So I talked to Shana.

Who after talking a few seconds with her. I learn she has no idea what going on with me. So with a quick summery to update her.

Now after a few buttons pushing on the computer. She tells me I should have been in chat,TN two weeks ago. She asked if I found a partner yet. I said yes and his name . She quickly reply he already teamed. Left this morning.

So I asked Where do we go from here. I need to get back to work. She tells Me I need to be in Chatt,TN. Do I need a bus ticket. I say yes. She will call me with the confirmation numbers for the bus ticket. I said OK. She asked me for my cell phone number to call me back. She has this info on file already.

But the phone never rang. So What happen. What do I do. What do i thank. As sat a round waiting on the phone ring with my bags packed. After saying all my good bye. I sit.
