Just remember you give up that huge percentage to the big bad wolf also on that cheap freight you haul.

I'm sure glad this site has folks that don't advocate for leasing onto a company, I don't need any more competition at my company.

Sure was a low spot in my life last week when one of the agents from the boot up my ### company I'm leased onto calls me inquiring if I was interested in his 4 stop Illinois to California run paying $15k... All legal, as I'm a lil pup and don't do oversize loads...

And Sir Jon, as he called me ( makes me feel important ) after your first drop 500 miles down the road you'll only have 10 feet and 6k left on the deck. Justa sweeten the deal so you ain't fully in the poor house, " I'm perfectly fine with ya grabbing a partial load to go with this freight as long as you can deliver on time to your final stop in California"

If I wasn't such an idiot, I'd have my own authority and would have gotten the load from a broker keeping 100% of the $5500 rate he would have given it to me for. LMFAO

I'll get smart one of these days.

Didn't expect this running down I-25 on New Mexico but good thing I'm an amateur steering wheel holder and planned accordingly based on the weather reports. I took off at midnight before all the professional truckers hit the road and was able to trail blaze. First time in probably 12+ years from Colorado down to Albuquerque on 25. Not sure how all that snow piled up like that while I'm driving but it did, maybe it was cause I'm like the only cheap freight haul on the road at midnight and was Flying, Literally....

    Back to my hole...

We pocketed our $5K this week because Landstarve is bad ( recommend going company at Schneider ).

That load I picked up from the bad place that I posted to get us out of there.....two crates, 1100 pounds.

You should have rang the don't advocate leasing on folks first before you and the OM even considered hauling that load first Dave!!! Atleast by then the repo men would have taken the truck to save ya from making pennies. I actually had a ring from a legit blue star affiliate yesterday wanting me to haul his high dollar hazmat load but like a fool I didn't renew it last year.

On the brighter side ill just book a load off ITS for $1.50. Who cares anymore?

You pay what you pay. If you make money you make money. Always deduct or depreciate what you can but if you owe taxes after then it is what it is.
I pay tons in taxes but it’s because I owe taxes. It’s sucks but is what it is. I feel like a lot of people encourage to cheat their taxes but in the long run that’s a losing game.

The saying goes if your paying taxes, don’t complain, that means your making money. Very true. I don’t make money, but what I don’t make, I get to keep. Lol. I’ve known those who make up phony receipts. I never have. Not worth the effort or peace of mind. I do spend money, cash, for tire work, used parts whatever, and get no receipt. Fair enough. Not my place to Judge. Last week at my first visit to a new chrome shop, the guy flat out said if I pay cash without a receipt, I could save $150 on a set of 1/2 fenders. That surprised me. He didn’t know Me from Adam. Whatever. Think I’ll keep shopping around.

I have never met anyone that was willing to do the ARM on a home loan. Why in the world did you do that? Could have locked in a 15 year or 30 year with no worries when it was cheap as hell.

Gave you better Aerodynamics. Good for you on the load. I love multi drop loads and prefer doing them over anything else.

That’s been my thought too, but if R&R hasn’t been having trouble, and is paying $400, it might be worth a look?

I have almost everything ready to go on manually written, allocated “forms”. Lol, I STILL haven’t used a spreadsheet!! I know...... I’m not completely computer-illiterate, but I have never attempted a spreadsheet. I do PDF’s on my IPad, but, well...you know. Lol
