That would destroy the local Ag economy. Much of the hand labor is still done by Migrant/Undocumented seasonal labor.

The better labor camp places will actually get the folks proper papers and bus them around as they follow the harvest season.

I think a better choice would be to formalize the seasonal worker arrangements so the folks can get proper documents and get safely to the Coyote type bosses on this side of the boarder. Ditto for those that are going to a city/town to help out the stereotypical family member that has a legal restaurant or small business.

Key would be to formalize and stream line the process and get documents to folks that have a moral destination.

Of all the times food lion takes forever to unload us then rush us out. This time they don’t rush me out, I wanted to be out of here 2-3 hours ago. Oh well looks like someone got a 10 in.

Before the BP stretched it self out to its present checkpoint, they used to hike the Mex side down and there was / is a road up to Sierra Blanca. Come north on it to SB and thumb on east on US80. I10 and the border are nowhere apart Fabens to Ft Hancock, but u are still inside the watch area till after Van Horn.

Used to be like that till the farm/ranch bosses got greedy and ruthless, the save the world crowd went off the deep end and the drug lords took over the government and F’d it up for everyone— always had a lot of respect for the work’n peoples
