Me too. The RTOO doesn't really whine above 1500. Pretty decent take off ability with 3.91s and LP 22.5 will cruise 1600 at 75 if I wanna be in a hurry

Not sure if I shared the pictures here? I was looking at big semi engine cranes, and almost bought one, but I'm so limited in shop space that I wouldn't have had room to use it if I wanted the garage door closed. It was January, and I'm old and fussy working in the cold. Rolling gantry cranes was a consideration, but with my 2 post, there just isn't room for one, so I did kind of a hybrid overhead running gantry.

Spent a day finding online calculators to math for me so I could engineer something that wouldn't kill me while swinging a complete ISX around. It (just) passed for the 3 ton hoist, but since an ISX is around 1.5 ton, even with a little swing it's still in the safe zone. I had to add some pulleys and the rope to roll the frame, because side loading the trolley #1 - was dangerous and scary, and #2 well, you're not supposed to side load the trolley lol.

I wish I had done this years ago. Having a "sky hook" is just so useful.

Built a 2 inch 1/4 wall square tube arm to slot in the receiver on my tractor bucket, added a truss over the top for strength and a d ring hook on the end to hook a 3 ton chain hoist to it to pull the head off the paccar. Worked like a charm and is useful for any other lifting needs anywhere else on property.

I'll get a pic of it next time I'm at the shop if I remember. I've got maybe 150 dollars in the whole thing.

I'll have mine turned down sometimes and forget all about it. If you keep going north between exit 223 and 230 there was a rig up on the mountain in the state game lands you could see from the highway. A few weeks later I can see the crane now, already fracing. Don't know which company is

That one big head looks heavy Lol. With 2 cyl heads it took me and dad all we had to set em up there without messing up the gasket surface

I have to run with my gain turned way way down or mud duck drives me insane. I could handle hearing him once, maybe even twice a day, but his constant repetitive blabbering strikes a nerve lol.

Been a helluva day fighting with the air lines going to the bags on the KW. Thin wall nuts get seized up and deform making it hell to get them off and back on. Seems a bulk head fitting like the steer axle brake lines going to the tops of the bags would have been a better design.

2 bags changed and a new intermediate shaft done to day and 90% of the time spent was on one bag.

Cap looks dry but the rest of the caps all had grease in them and it's been greased. Idk if it was clogged internally but the ears on the yoke snapped off.

KW wanted a cool 1500 for that bad boy and the local drive line shops wanted about the same but were at least a week out. Junk yard search didn't turn anything up as all of those had tiny splined areas as opposed to the 4 inch section on this one.

One shop told me they couldn't reuse it as it was too damaged and wouldn't slide into the new part, and he'd have to order that piece but had the other end on hand. Quick feel of the splines and I didn't feel any burs but he wasn't budging so I said thanks anyway I'll just take the one I've got ordered from the dealer.
