What is your level of CDL experience?
What endorsements (if any) do you already have?
What city/state do you live near/in?
Are you power only? Or do you have a trailer already?
How much hometime do you want/need? Daily? Weekly? Less? None?
The more we know about you....the better the suggestions in return....

Try the lanes from Chicago to Columbus Ohio and then from Columbus Ohio back to Chicago.

Wait. First we need to know if you have at least $50k in the Bank. Another $50k line of credit. A home that’s paid for in full. A brand new Truck and Trailer that’s paid for. Some mechanical knowledge. A good Lawyer. A good Accountant. Willing to eat cold food out of a can. And most importantly, flip flops, driving gloves, at least 3 Trucking gps systems onboard. A good set of spotlights for night driving wouldn’t hurt either. If not you’re doomed to fail. Once we get all that info, everyone can discourage you, and someone may have a helpful bit of encouragement or insight. I highly doubt it though. Excuse my cynicism. I wish you the best of luck sincerely. No such thing as a best lane. Might be some better paying lanes. Mainly due to produce or construction projects. Depending on what type of Trailer you’re pulling. In those cases, the lanes going in are reflected (cheap) in the price going out, (not cheap). Best strategy I’ve found is trying to work a route in at a better than average straight route. Try to sneak in the back door. Once you figure out a good way to accomplish that. Making above average revenue. Don’t tell anyone your strategy. Make sense? You can tell me though, I’ll keep it under my hat.
