Update Update. I’ve been refused a few more times. Also been making some very good new connections. Yesterday I was explaining things to a Broker. Trying to get them to override the 411 Carrier information. Many do, others can’t. Policies are Policies. Anyway, She checked it for me. I don’t have any Freightguard complaints. That’s been verified 3 times. I’m happy. The problem is no inspections since starting in 08 according to them. I actually started in 04, and probably have at least 80 inspections. Had an in-house audit in 08, following an accident in NJ. I passed it with flying colors. That was followed by about 5 years of constantly being inspected, and passing all, with only a few warnings. No OOS. Haven’t had any inspections in at least 5-6 yrs. I think my wife being with me is my good luck charm. I’ll wake her up sometimes, tell her get up here, we’re going through the scale. Lol. I mostly run at night, basically the same routes. Always at least one scale house under construction it seems. Also try to work weekends, and take hometime during the week. So here’s the update. 411 Carrier also states that according to their AI ( Artificial Intelligence) program, my lack of inspections point to a possible double brokering risk. Lol. I’m being harassed by Artificial Intelligence. That’s exactly what I mean when I say there’s too much reliance on technology. Some that have refused Me have given me Loads within the last year or two. They’re just too lazy to look up my record. So many Trucks available right now, they can be picky. It’s crazy. There’s only one solution. I don’t exactly make a habit of looking for open scales. I’m confident eventually I’ll get inspected. The Truck and Trailer should easily pass. All new brakes and good rubber. I’m still not ready mentally to volunteer. It just seems wrong. Lol. I may have to. One of my strengths has always been being able to set up with any Broker for any Load. Even back before it was so easy. It’s really a necessity. So welcome to the new millennium where reputation and prior performance means nothing compared to a AI program. God help us.

Give the truck a thorough going over then find the next open scale when its not busy, ask for an inspection. If your state does mobile inspections try calling up the DOT enforcement division and arrange to meet them somewhere. Its silly, but thats how you need to play the stupid game.

That’s the plan. Debating whether to fix the reverse light on the Truck, or leave it broken so they’ll at least be able to find something wrong. Lol. Not really. I’ve been catching up on the brakes, and tires. Fixed the intermittent plate light today. I’m ready. Think I’ll volunteer in Ky. They’re always fair with me. I avoid the Michigan Nazis like the plague. Maybe Alabama, if I can find a Trooper. Lol. Still plan on getting the Bsnk up a bit more first. Just in case I need a Road call. Can’t afford any surprises these days. It’s been so long, I’m as nervous as a teenager on his first date. Lol.

No inspections being a red flag as a double broker seems to be widespread among brokers for a while now. Of course if they couldn't find any trucks they'd waive it in about 2 seconds. They're too lazy or stupid to check into you further to verify you're in fact legit. Sometimes they also don't like if your trucking company also has brokerage authority. Or if you're using a free email - gmail etc. It's a little effort to vet somebody but not so much hassle that they should just reject everyone out of hand. To be fair though I reject all the time brokers we aren't already set up with, or if I can't understand their English. I don't care if somebody has a foreign accent but if I can't understand that's a potential headache when problems happen.

so according to you, are you too lazy or stupid to get set up with those brokers you aren't already set up with? Not say right or wrong, but why is ok for you to have a standard but not the brokers?
What I mean is, you know it isn't worth your time to get set up with that brokerage you aren't already set up with so why should the broker waste their time doing the extra leg work once they hit the first red flag? Just kinda feels like you are harboring a double standard here.

Yeah I'm too lazy to do it. We're already set up with hundreds and I don't like doing set ups. Our company actually vets them and checks references. It wastes a lot of time that I could already find any number of other loads to book with somebody that we're already set up with.

I've never had one reject me because of a lack of inspections. There's a lot of trucks in the fleet I'm at and they get inspected often. I can understand the frustration though. Had one reject me due to the brokerage authority deal. Been questioned for using gmail too.

    So yeah double standard here.
