Yup. They gave it a fancier name but they still teach it. LOL...They don't teach how to balance a checkbook anymore.

 

Mine took prob and stats and government and Econ. I took auto shop and machine shop and study hall. They take after their momma.

 

Auto, welding and gun club. Gun range behind the welding shop. Had to be a good welder with 10-12 kids shooting behind your building.

 

I just called my school teacher neighbor and she said that Economics is now called Financial Responsibility and Procedures. They teach a lot about taxes, interest rates, borrowing money, lines of credit, a huge amount about stocks and bonds, lots of stats and graphs...but no checkbook balancing.
She's an old timer and if she had her way things would be a little...okay, a lot...different.

 

I quit 9th grade and ran away with the carnival. But I did manage to do Wood Shop at least for a semester. Ha Ha

 

Do very many people even know how to write a personal check anymore?
