For your information ...... NEVER NEVER assume That a vehicle that strikes another from the rear is always at fault, this is simply not true. In this original incident the driver is at fault for operating defective equipment, which he wasn't charged with.
-
NAPA bought North and South out of Harrisonburg, Va a few years ago and they are always running ads for drivers in the Harrisonburg paper. Anytime a company has to continually run ads for drivers, something is bad wrong.

I just left an employer, leaving a list of major things to be fixed. He's refusing to pay me $1300 still owed to me.Luckely i made copies of everything.I just sent it all off to the federal dept of labor, logs, bills, reciepts of $ paid on stuff for the truck. They told me that after there investgation he still might not pay.Ive reported his co. to the DOT for dangerous equipment.I found out by law I have 1 year to file in small claims court, but I have to make a trip to that state to file.Ive gotten on several web sites to warn other driver about this company.
How long did the labor board take, for you to get your $? -
You are wasting your time with the labor board, trust me. If and that is a big "if", they collect anything for you, it will be based on the minimum wage, such as if you drove 10 today, they might get you around $80.00. Been there and one it, trust me.
Your best bet is small claim court. -
Your right, they could get me only $7.25 an hour, thats less than half of what this guy owes me.I contacted the courts up in Ill an there supose to be sending me forms,in the mail.I hope so all I got was a recording;I left a msg.

Remember when you say if its not safe to drive to go in any scale and ask for an inspection.....with CSA those points also go on your record now!
Gearjammin' Penguin and SierraSemiDriver Thank this. -
Very good point. Before CSA you could go to any scale and ask for an inspection if your company ordered you to drive a vehicle that you felt was unsafe. Not anymore
-
You are trained and authorized to inspect and shut down a vehicle yourself.
