I am not sure about those numbers lol..I dont know about becoming a citizen there either..I wanted to invest alittle bit of money in their stock market ( will take off one day..oil and tourism),but you have to be a citizen there to play in thier market..Everything I found online, and was found by a few different lawyers said you had to reside there for atleast 10 years. And I dont know how a company gets anything done, when you get 6 months off a year..There is to much cheap labor there for me to think you are serious..Middle easterner's are very greedy with pay..You are either the boss,or a nobody who gets paid very little...Colotow,were you at scania with rick carlin and mickey pittman?I was at bucca with both of them..I miss that job..Recovery is hands down the most serious, technical, dangerous, respected, and most rewarding job KBR does there!!

Oh, yeah. Mickey is a good guy, good to work with. So is Rick, I was on night shift with him until I demobbed.
Did they ever mention Duck and Panhead? We did have an interesting crew there.
Glad I got out of there when I did, last I heard was a new crew down there was unloading a HEMTT with caged brakes, and it rolled down the ramp and took out one of the big gen sets, the whole crew got fired. Not sure as far as names. I think most or all of the guys I worked with had been transfered out before that happened.

If you talk to them, I was "Recovery 3" down there, the one with the long hair and beard.

well the numbers are right its not they dont get anything done when your home someone else is there doing the same job but its the oil company not the goverment that you are working for like kbr that has a contract with the us goverment they pay there people more than you know alot dont have the experianc or know how to thats why they hire from other countrys but most dont work i mean would you if your goverment was giving you money every month for just living there if you ever been over there yo know what i mean all of the expencive cars just left along sside the road cause they ran out of gas since the goverment paid for it in the first place as becoming a citizen its just cause your there longer than your at home its a simple prosess more so than the usa

Any oil guys, are hired through the oil companies, and there isnt any from the U.S. there right now.As far as any companies drilling,I am pretty sure its just a few local Iraqi companies still..Go to yahoo and type in U.S. oil companies in Iraq..The first thing that will pop up is an article in TIME magazine stating there isnt any there..I couldnt follow most of what you tried to explain...I am taking it you are not from the U.S.???...I have been on the roads of Iraq, and they just dont leave expsenive cars on the side of the road.Any car left on the road could be a v bed..The MAJORITY of the population is very poor..Saudi Arbia pays people who live there, but not Iraq..I think you need to so some fact finding,as I am still sure this is one inflated story..I have spent two years there, and from your comments you have never been there..I dont buy anything you say...

    Erich Thanks this.

I just don't see the money made to be equal to the personal risk.
