My DPF Regen light is on. It’s staying on. Does that mean it’s regenerating?. I’m parked in a parking lot. Can I drive while it’s regenerating?! Or should I stay parked until the light goes off?!

The light will be on whenever your exhaust temps are above 500*f and your vehicle speed is below 5mph. It in no way is an indicator of what stage the regen is in. It will not hurt the system to shut down or otherwise continue to drive either.
If you suspect frequently regens , get in the shop and have it looked into. -

The Truckers’ Report once again saving the day for me.
I had this issue a few minutes ago and freaked out a bit. Luckily, it’s no big deal, just needs to cool down for a few minutes. Seems like a pro tip would be to not turn the engine off.
