    Was just joshing….. to be honest, the only Kenwood products I’ve ever known have been stereo decks, I’ve owned a few in my time. I didn’t know they made FM units like yours. I had to look it up on research it. Tells you how behind I am with the times. :D

    The 2300 is a 65W version, and my base antenna is a J-pole made out of copper that I polished and coated with laquer to prevent oxidation, and I made a tuning tip for it similar to the firestick antennas.
