WHAT??? YOU DARE to take some of YOUR money back from the government to get some type of education to better yourself?:biggrin_2559: And of course, after bettering yourself, you will be making more money, which means you will be giving MORE of your money to the government!:biggrin_2551:

I didn't know it was a regulation we had to provide transportation home, however I will ask tomorrow at work. I know our company does offer a bus ticket home and I THOUGHT it was because we don't want the driver stranded and it's only kind to do so.
If you really are worried, you can call other trucking companies close by and ask for a job, it's not to hard to find another job just because you got fired for log book violations, trust me no drivers call yelling cause I termed them over log book violations and they can't get a job. The company will say oh my log dept can help you with that, now soon this might all change with the CSA2010 coming into play.

Most importantly please learn the logging regulations and try to log correctly, if you struggle with anything come here under the dot regulations section and learn about logs, I will be glad to help you!:) Run legal and learn them regulations because CSA2010 is coming and it's gonna be tougher on all drivers :(

That sucks,I have a friend who was driving for arrow when the they went under he was comming across Tx in I-10 when then they call him to park the truck and they would send him a bus ticket to get home, well he took the truck to baytown TA droped the loaded trailer in the lot took the truck to the fuel Ile and filled it with his own credit card unhooked the QC and drove it to NC were he lived then took it to a TA near his home hooked the QC back up called arrow told them were the truck was and went home.like him I always keep enough money back to get home on and that means if I have to use the truck to get home I will.

I'm sure your company follows the rules because they want to. Not because they have to. The penalty is minimal from what I hear. If they were REALLY trying to be that cheap, you'd be hearing about it.

CSA2010 will change all that. Not at first but, as soon as the insurance companies refine their microeconomics, you'll see more drivers out of work.

IMO - find out what beaurocrat that had this brain child and vote them out. That should be fun.

Best of luck to you all. Remember that old saying, "Knowledge is power." You take the crap you're taking, most of the time, because you think you HAVE to take it. No disrespect intended but, it's your own #### fault. Learn the rules and how they work and USE THEM. Get on the same playing level as the companies.

God bless, remember....2010 is a big year, VOTE. (Whichever side you're on, just VOTE!)

When I turn in crappy logs my boss just grumbles and yells at me and makes me fix them. Should be like that everywhere.

Sorry this happened to you. We can't do anything about helping you get home but we see this many times where once you make it home and start looking for new employment that the carrier will list these items on your DAC report. Once you make it home, give us a call, let's talk about this, we can help you. If it is listed on your DAC report, you can hang up driving.

If this is a reply to the original post from 1 1/2 years ago like it appears to be and you are connected to DACFIX you should find another line of work. I'll bet that he has made it home by now, he could have walked those 900 miles by now, and "hanging up driving" ain't the end of the world.

ok this is an really old post but for anyone in this position the fix is really simple.....
You know that you need to ride the bus home ....ok .... but what do i do with my stuff........
GO TO WALLY WORLD GET THREE MID SIZED TOTES WITH LIDS .......
PACK ALL OF YOUR GEAR SHOW UP AT THE GREY DOG......
FIRST TOTE FREE ....SECOND TOTE 10 DOLLARS ..... THIRD BY WEIGHT ......
ALL THREE TOTES WILL NOT COST MORE THAN $ 40 out of your pocket.......
simple solution for a bad deal !
If you dont have $30 for three totes and $40 for the shipping you need to keep that Left door shut a little more and pass that truckstop to get to a supermarket and learn to live within your means and save some money for a rainy day.....
ONE DAY IT WILL POUR ......
