Just wondering if any of my fellow drivers on here are from Florida, and if you're happy with your job? If so, I'd like to know what else is going on around the state, I know times are tough, but I've found a good fit for me in Tallahassee working for Pritchett Trucking, been here a little over 2 years now and not looking to go anywhere else, hopefully others on here are finding success in Florida's down economy.

I got my CDL 2 months ago because my regular job was slow. I looked around the Palm Beach area and decided to keep my day job. Really starting to get tired of south Florida. Thinking I might head a little north, heard Jacksonville is where the trucking work is at.

Jacksonville...? Well I guess if you are an owner operator and want to pull containers, then come on up..they are constantly advertising. Just check out craigslist.com in this area. As for being a company driver (very few available) pulling containers you need TWIC and sometimes a JAX Port Pass which I believe you have pay for yourself approx. $250 or so...
Trust me it is not that much better up here in this neck of the woods.:biggrin_25523:

Why hate? And unless CR England Inc - bad conditions suggest? Or there too there are nuances?
