I guess it will be similar to the KW 990.
Jubal Early Times Thanks this. -
Seen one of those the other day. I did not even know what kind of truck it was for awhile. Was an ugly thing to say the least.ducnut, Brettj3876, Concorde and 1 other person Thank this.

Just curious. Why not a 567? Of all the new cabs out I really like the styling of that one the best. Much better than what I’ve seen of the 589. Is it simply the non aero styling?Siinman Thanks this.

You’re still believing those photoshop pictures are the 589?
Some in here are saying the 389 is ending because of the EPA…So Peterbilt is just going to take a 567 and slap a 389 hood on it, lol.
Aerodynamics stays the same..that’s the fix?
Then another forum user fantasizes about me sitting by his community pool with him..wishing he had two nickels to rub together
This thread is like reading the Sunday comics..cracks me up. -
I don’t know if it is or not. I do know it’s ugly. The cab doesn’t flow right with the hood. It’s not attractive.Siinman Thanks this.

I like how the 579 looks. If it’s set up right I doubt a 567 would be a huge difference in fuel economy, but I just like how my truck looks.Siinman and Jubal Early Times Thank this.

I agreed I wouldn’t call the 567 an aero truck. I don’t consider a T 800 an aero truck either. I would like to see a 567 with external breathers though. I bet it’d be sharpLong FLD Thanks this.

My outsider opinion. The epa has some do to with the way trucks are heading.
I think it’s more so the 5 series cab requires less labor to produce since it all molded plastic/fiberglass/what ever. Vs the 3 series cab that hucked together aluminum.
Kenworth is currently doing the same thing. They have already closed one w900/t800/c500 production line. Eventually they will close the other one so they can standardize one cab for their large truck platform. -
I’ve always been a fan of the t800, spent 10 years of my life driving them. My old boss had them set up with dual exhaust and 15” breathers and I really liked that look. Now it’s not even listed on KW’s website anymore.Siinman and Jubal Early Times Thank this.
