Now this, I like... :) If it ain't over the rack, that's where it should be...in the fuel tank.

Port of Galveston to Reno Nevada. Bouncing across I-40 tonight through Albuquerque with a CAT D5 Dozer minus the 14' wide blade. I had plenty of room for the blade but they decided to put it on another truck.

Me personally, for what you're doing, no way I'd dump the money into it. Trucks are starting to get right again, although still too high.

I found a 97 T600, 10 spd, N14 for an old customer last week. Original farmer owned (usually farmers don't clean well), 700k on the clock.

Picked it up for 24k. Absolutely one of the best used trucks I've seen, and the guy had it listed for 10 days.

Had i not dropped an extra 12k into my work the last two weeks, i'd go look at this myself. I haven't looked at the pics close, so it may be a junker

That is sort of how I've done my truck shopping over the years. Look for something mechanically cared for, little rough around the edges, & undesirable to most owner operators. Usually leaves me with 350's, 9's or super 10's, & curb sniffers..

My only real hang ups have been no fire engine red, no red interior, & flattop only. That also narrows the litter quite a bit, as seems I run across lots of well cared for red tractors..

I've peeked at a few of those WIA rigs before. What I don't know about them is parts availability, & parts pricing. Best thing about an FLD is parts are everywhere, & cheap as they come..

Speaking of cheap, M11 is probably the least expensive engine of the 90's to overhaul. ~$1800 for McBee kit. If I really wanted to be a cheapskate, for ~$400 couldn't I just do piston rings to slow oil consumption & blow by? Not that I would, if in there might as well do it properly..

Alberta banned riding in truck boxes February 1st 2000. We were the last province to do so.

Just curious how the steel track does on your aluminum deck. Does it cause any damage?

@JoeyJunk how much weight you guys put on? I had 42 in the box on the way back and smoked a tan t680 pulling a box up Clark summit hill.

there's a forest fire going on there too right before the exit to the turnpike. I thought I got a pic but I got a pic of my leg instead Lol

    39-41. Rarely hit 42.

That particular truck is driven by an interesting individual. I played the passing game with him going back empty the other day. He is always confused no matter what is going on lol.

Oh he was in the left lane holding some people up Lol. I finally got around him when he moved back over at the start of Clarks summit hill and was way ahead of him by the time I got to the top. Wonder what that has under the hood
