Agreed... I have had the nose and once it deviated on installation and returned out the opposite nostril, looked rather quaint. Asked the nurse if that was usual and she scampered, sayin Oh, My God, no... Never had a catheter that I remember, but the 4 bypass heart surgery was not too vivid at the time.
No desire to self install/manipulate one.

For a real trip, get you a "peg" stuck into your stomach and add "baby food" 6 times a day. Like a valve stem stuck into you stomach, a foot of like windshield wiper hose hangy down. This keep you alive after you have recovered from a stroke; can walk plus, just cannot swallow.
