If you are being paid then how not can you be video monitored?

What right do you have to not be video monitored IF you are being paid?

So you are always doing something wrong?

Do you understand the concept of a double negative?

    Perhaps you meant to say...
    I'm never doing anything wrong.
    ?
Which is wishful thinking at best, totally ignorant otherwise.

But it isn't just the fact of being monitored, it is how it is used.

Driver facing cameras are used to watch every move the driver makes.
Reach down to grab your bottle of water, distracted driving.
Change the radio channel, distracted driving.
Check your GPS to get a next rest or truck stop so you can pee, distracted driving.
    The list goes on.

They can be too intrusive. So intrusive that it can make the driver more unsafe just by being monitored too closely.
And some companies use it just like that.

If we're that much more critical than an office worker, we should be paid accordingly.

Want to throw a scare into your driver facing camera monitor, come out of the bunk and jump into the driver seat with one of these on!

Ask anyone who used to work in the office at the now-defunct Arrow Trucking Co., or the people at Landstar who got them sued over truth-in-leasing violations.

Stringb8n and Gearjammin' Penguin Thank this.
