Especially when you run out of acetylene.
Luckily the neighbor (who has a 7.3 powerstroke that I fixed last week for him) is a welder.

Sorry I didn't see your question earlier. I was a little worried about the steel tracks on such a heavy and somewhat compact piece of equipment. I went really slow when I got on to the deck and I hopped out for a quick inspection of the aluminum and wood and the only thing I found were some slight depression's in the wood and not a single mark on the aluminum. Quite surprised at how well the tracks disperse the weight.

I'm coming. I'm in Vegas right now at 0452hrs local time. I should be in Reno around 1145-1215hrs. With such nice weather I am going to go play some golf for sure.

Well, I’m not there anymore. This work thing, ya know. Should be a good afternoon for a walk in the park.

A dozer didn’t scar up your deck at all?

    Impressive.

1/4 inch plywood cut in 12 to 16 inch width is a great way to protect aluminum decking under tracked equipment while adding friction.
