Bouncing 210 miles in the morning for a 240 mile load back from our customer that pays more than anything she can find out of the Chicago area.

 

I bounced 350 Monday afternoon and 270 today. My empty miles have skyrocketed, but I’m not complaining. I’ll take the long deadhead over cheap freight all day

 

This just confirms why I never go to that area. Nothing worth taking or out of that place since I have been in business.

We take loads to the Louisville area and drop and hook. Sometimes we have a preloaded trailer out of there back to Chicago for them. I don’t mind it, it’s an easy place to get to. I lucked out Monday morning and only had to bounce about 20 miles after my drop in Chicago and grabbed a load back to MN that was also preloaded. So I took a chance on the same round again. Lol. Only bad part is some of the trailers that frequent the Chicago area aren’t the best. I call it drop and hook roulette.

Ha Ha I bet they do not want to invest in that area. To afraid it will just get messed up around that area and that is sad in it self. At least it is working for you most of the time. I have nothing against the area myself, I just have never had loads take me to that area as I just follow money trails.
